A closer look at American public life.
THE VISION
FOR THE STEADY
PUBLIC LIFE, UP CLOSE
Public life.
Human stakes.
We want The Steady to make American public life easier to understand through documentary storytelling about the people, places, and decisions that shape it.
That means following honest questions, examining original sources, and making room for history and lived experience. The aim is understanding, with evidence and context visible along the way.
THE STARTING POINT
From Dallas.
Into the bigger picture.
Dallas is our starting point: a place to look closely at public institutions, shared spaces, and everyday decisions. The vision is to connect what happens close to home with the larger questions of American public life.
